Amusement License
Required for amusement shows, devices, exhibitions, and entertainment establishments operating in unincorporated Clay County, pursuant to County Ordinance 2025-ORD-26.

Auctioneer License
Required for any person conducting public auctions of goods or property within Clay County, subject to the provisions of RSMo Chapter 343 & HB 1170 Rev. 1978.

Catering & Picnic License
Per-event liquor catering and picnic permits for off-premise service of alcoholic beverages at private events. One application per business location. A copy of the approved state license is required for each event.

Fireworks License
Seasonal permit required for the retail sale of consumer fireworks at stands in unincorporated Clay County, pursuant to County Ordinance 2025-ORD-26.

Liquor License
State-required licensing for the manufacture, sale, or distribution of alcoholic beverages. Multiple sub-categories cover package, by-the-drink, Sunday sales, solicitors, and special events.

Wrecking & Towing Service License
Required for any business that conducts more than 50% of its wrecking & towing within the county and/or is physically located in Clay County. One application is required per business location.

State liquor and gaming licenses are issued through the Missouri Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Control. The county license is in addition to any state requirement.
